  • New Polo 66 TDI with DSG

    Hi All,

Wednesday I became the proud owner of a blue Polo 66TDI with DSG and the comfort pack. I know the 1.2 is said to be the pick of the Australian lineup, but I had a bee in my bonnet about diesel and I have to say, I am loving it. I purchased it from the VW dealership in Frankston and they were fantastic. Not only did they do me a good deal, but they were straight all the way.

Today I took it up and down Arthur's seat, and found the sports mode of the DSG fantastic. Coming down Oliver's Hill on the way home, I didn't brake once. I also sorted out the cruise control today, and I can see I will be using it frequently.

Something I would like to know, is can I leave the wipers on the rain sensing mode all the time? I am at the moment.

Tomorrow I am taking it to Phillip Island, I can't wait to see how far my first tank of diesel takes me, so far it is looking good.

    Happy driving.

As for the rain sensing wipers.....yes, you can leave it in that position 100% of the time. (We do in our .:R). Just be careful of the windscreen washing guys at traffic lights.....any moisture that hits the sensor on the windscreen will activate the wipers (if you have the wiper sin the auto position).

Yep...the TDI is nice car...but the 1.2L TSI is a winner for me.
