Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

welcome Stu. Good to hear the wait is almost over. Were you able to track the progress to Aust port over the months? I ordered a polo recently and will have to wait until mid-Oct

Thanks Patricio, we purchased through a fleet company and where able to save a few thousand dollars which we then spent on extras. The company rings us fortnightly to let us know about delivery date, should be about 16.07.2010. Have to pick up car in Port Macquarie but should be a nice way to familiarise ourselves with car. Only issue is about tow bar purchase as they don't seem to be like the Hayman Reese type fitting which is on my 4wd, hence our bike rack won't fit. Bike rack is a Rhino 5 bike rack so seems like a waste of money.
