Howdy, I was searching the net this morning for info on fitting a tow bars to a Passat and found this site - wish I'd have found a while back! My current ride is a 2.0 TDI 125kW Passat (B6 or 3C??) which I bought new a bit over two years and now done about 80k of enjoyable and troublefree kms. Previously made the move to VWs when I was living in the UK 2005-07 where I bought a 1.8 litre petrol B5 Passat.
I am hoping to pick up some info about potential pitfalls in fitting a tow bar to Passat. I looked at getting a dealer installed tow bar when I bought the car but at about $1400 it sounded a bit rich. My subsequent reading indicates its not a simple job getting the electrics sorted. Any help would be appreciated.
