Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    SA Another Newbie...awaiting the Golf R

    Hi All

    I'm David and have been watching this site as a guest for a while.... so finally decided to register !

    I've recently sold my MKV Golf GTI to allow for the purchase of a DSG Golf R or MKVI GTI. My wife drives an 09 Tiguan and my daughter has also been converted to VW and bought her first car which is an 03 Generation Golf.

    I'm wanting to chat about the New R which I'm hoping to drive tomorrow here in Adelaide. I'd like to know if anyone has received any discounts on the Golf R's initial delivery ?

    My problem is that the GTI is so attractive at the moment with the on road discounts that it widens the gap on the GTI vs R.
