Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • Golf 118tsi Sports Pack or No Sports Pack?

    Hi everyone,
I'm new and this is my first post so go easy on me I am also not really a 'car person' so don't have a clue about alot of things!!!!
I'm about to purchase a new Golf 118tsi and was going to go for the sports package, but am now considering not getting it and just tinting all the windows darker... am wondering what else the sports package has lookswise.... is there a huge difference in the look of a 118tsi with and without the sports pack?
Its an extra $2000 for the sports pack, wondering if it is worth it...

Definitely get the sports pack - I am deeply regretting that I didn't get the sports pack. Get it when you still have the chance to include in your new car because it isn't something you can add on after getting your car (e.g. window tinting).

        so anyone bought recently?
there is a sale on at the moment, buy before june 30 and get the dealers charges free, as in dealer delivery/stamp duty etc.... about $3000 worth free...

i am being told by a few dealers that there are literally hardly any 118tsi with sports pack around at the moment.... in fact one dealer has told me that they have one, and there are only three in australia at the moment according to their computer system.... the one they have is white, which is what i am wanting.... cost is $33990 drive away..... this is their best price apparently, not wanting to come down, i suppose due to the fact that if there really aren't many 118's with sports pack at the moment (in time to get by june 30) then they are in a position where they don't want to go down in price...

does $33,990 sound like a good deal? its an auto by the way.... seems good when comparing to prices on carsales, but at the same time i am slightly hesitant to pay the dealer's asking price, without negotiating it down a bit.... what do u think?

Mate, tell the dealer the price you will pay for the car, never accpet there comments, that - thats there best price.

Sports Pack was a non-negotiable item, along with leather and a sunroof when I ordered my car, hence why I had to wait 6 months for my car,
with the sports pack its includes, 17in wheels, rear privacy glass, sports seats, tyre pressure sensor, and a few small items not worth mentioning.

for 2k mate, its a worthy upgrade! you will regret it otherwise
