hi all first post first problem.. I just got a mk2 golf from interstate, when i went to get the roadworthy they said it was to low to be legal. In TAS the front needs to be 325mm from axel to arch and 340mm at back. anyone know where i can get some stock shocks for the test..

Hi there.
A bit more information may help in terms of what modifications have been made (ie. what combination/coil overs etc) on the car - and have you considered getting the car certified at a lower height, or going to a different inspection station?
Post up some more details and we can give better advice.
not real sure of mods ive just had a quick look at them..
and yeah parks on glen dhu street..
Pull a wheel off, see if there's an adjustment thingy fitted, you might be able to raise it straight away. Otherwise, take it to another testing place, some people are more picky than others.
I've been wondering when i'd see that beast on the forum! i have driven past it a few times now, and i must say it is sexy but sump bustingly low thats for sure!! have a chat to Vwjunkie, and maybe check out Ozedition.org and talk to benny, that site is mainly tasmanian golf enthusiasts.. even if you borrowed the shocks from someone for a day you'd be right.. but yeah. check em out!!
