Hi all. Considering my first VW purchase. Doing a lot of research first, not only on the cars but also on the availability of technical information. Found this site and thought "this is the place I need". Worked on aircraft for the last 30 years so I'm a bit of a technology freak. Hoping to learn heaps from you all. Anyway, to the matter at hand. Initially I'd been looking at a Passat V6 Highline wagon with a few options, specifically bi xenon headlights,sat nav, reversing camera and adaptive cruise control. Whilst at Barloworld saw the CC . With the options mentioned above (minus bi xenon) the price is about $5000 more. But then, of course, when I consider spending the extra 5k I see there are some good deals on the R36 wagon.
I don't need to race everwhere but I've just spent 3 years in a 2+ tonne 4WD and would like, for once, to have plenty of power and speed when when it's time to overtake.
Any advice you seasoned VW owners can provide would be appreciated.
