Hi all
I'm selling my Starlet GT and looking at some golfs.
MkIV GTi seems to be in my price range. I had a look at This one on Saturday and am after some feedback. Perhaps someone knows the car.
1: No front Lip.
2: AC does not work. Dude says it just needs a regas. Is it likely to need a full AC system overhaul (replacing all seals etc) and how much will that cost?
3: Needs 200k km service and timing belt.
4: Appears to have aftermarket exhaust
5: Recaros are nice to sit in, bit worn on the bolster where you rub on entry and exit.
6: Has INSP flashing on dash. What is the deal with that?
7: Battery is wearing a jacket but is not restrained in the engine bay. Is that right?
8: No first aid kit or emergency kit.
9: Jack is rusted
10: Looks like it has a black DIY induction hose, as it is cable tied to the bumper where the horns are
Is it still a good deal?
