Born agian GTI owner
Hey Guys,
After being out of the GTI scene for 14 yrs i'm finally back,wahey!! I've just bought myself a 91 bigbumper GTI 8v. Needs a bit of TLC. Which brings me on to a few questions for you experts on here. It is a 3 spd auto & doesn't seem to have half the power my old manual one did. Are these under powered anyway or is there a prob somewhere? I have already changed the oil, filter, plugs & have ordered dizzy cap, rotor & leads. I have checked all vacuum hoses/ pipes to & from air inlet & injection system But up till now nothings really improved. I have also tried the O2 sensor but that seems ok. Surely these autos should have some go to them?? Anybody got anymore ideas?? Also looking for somewhere that does a few subtle accessories for it. One last thing, what is the best size wheels to buy & what are the golfs offsets?
