Hey Everyone,
I'm Steve, and have been awaiting my Golf to be delivered for about 4 months now, another few weeks to go.
The Car
2010 Golf 118 TSI, Sports Pack, Leather, Sunroof, Black, Reverse Sensors, Tint
Previously have been driving company car for the last 4 years, VZ and VE Wagons, however a change of job means I lose the experience of a free car, and having to buy once myself.....have always wanted a Golf, so I didn't look at anything else. While waiting for the Golf, have been driving the other half's BMW 330ci, and the dealer has even given me a loaner car as of last week, a Audi A4 DSG - not bad, but thats where the good customer service stops.
Am looking forward to getting the car, however the dealership experience has been an absolute ordeal to say the least, basically involved 3 Dealerships, 1 car which I cancelled the order on, Untied Grey, 118, Sports, Cloth, Sunroof, Park Assist - the customer service was so appalling, i decided to pull the contract and get my deposit back.
The new car I have placed an order for has been something similar of an ordeal, went to a different branded dealership, but the service from a few guys there has also be appalling, Only 1 salesman, who took over when the original salesman had his day off seemed to save the purchase! Kinda spewing that I couldn't get United Grey, but I am thinking Black is going to look hot
Reading the Forums for a while now, and there seems to be a disconnect between VWA, and its Dealerships.....Suffice to say once i get the car, a phone call to VW Aust, Letter to the MD, and Letter to the dealer principal will be in order, I aint looking for Rolls Royce service, just some decent customer service.
Anyways looking forward to keeping up to date with the forums, and the latest on the Golf,
