Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

The Polo has become my everyday car via work.

One VXR is about to be heavily modded and will onlt see weekend ,one VXR is driven by my girlfriend and the Valiant spends its life looking good but rarely moving !

Impressed with the Polo, other than some dash rattles on rough roads, which I will have the dealer look into.

Looked at the Mk 6 GTi Golf last week as a possible replacement for one VXR down the track...

          Cheers.
Unfortunately one VXR is sitting at HSV at present awaiting assessment from the storm we had in Perth a month back.
The engine has to be stripped due to water getting in .
Hence why I have been looking at the Golf Gti....just in case the VXR is written off !

I still see cars around with damage from the hail, its funny the patterns it made over the metal.

Welcome aboard, great to see another WA member

My Polo arrived the day of the storm and I only took delivery this Thursday from Ozzie Park VW.....a month later.
Me thinks the initial arrival got slightly damaged !

Welcome mate, that's lucky in a way! Think if you'd got one and then it was damaged and you had to wait for a replacement via your insurance or worse repairs!

lol @ Gareth and his mandatory S3 plug hehe

S3 might be too swish as an everyday driver for my girlfriend......and a bit too much for my hip pocket, buying her a VXR was a big step !
