Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    First post - 2006 Passat Warranty Repairs

    Hi all

    Just about to come to the end of my 3 year warranty (and just purchased an additional 3 at a substantial saving thanks to the info on this forum!), so I put together a list of all the warranty work I've had done on my MY07 3.2V6 Passat Sedan.

    From newest to oldest work:
    Replacement control arms front suspension
    DSG basic settings reset
    Replacement Gear Selector
    ABS recoded
    Replacement front right wheel bearing
    Battery cable replacement (model recall)
    Replacement Park break control unit
    Replacement ABS control unit
    Replacement catalytic converter
    Replacement MFD instrument cluster
    Installed break calipers for low speed noise

    Battery Issue

    What was the issue with the battery cable. My battery seems to keep on going flat.
    I also have the same issue with the brakes.
