Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hey all, audi man converting to VW

    Hey guys,

My name is Tim currently studying Property real estate at Deakin Uni and working in promotions. Im a regular user on the Ozaudi forums and im about to put my APR modded B6 1.8TQ up for sale now that i have had it painted, cleaned, tuned and polished to sale perfection. Once i have sold this i am keen as mustard to jump into a Mk4/5 R32, as i have been test driving a few of these recently.

My Car background has generally been Jap cars and i have had 3 WRXs, with my last pushing a bit over 225atwkw and a few skylines and 200sx's, also with a BMW E46 328i.

So theres a bit about me.

    Cheers

Heres a quick photo of my current ride

    More pics further down.

    Welcome mate.

Very nice lookin B6 indeed. I would def consider buying one as I have a soft touch for them, but imma still loving my .:R. hehe

Theres a great wealth of knowledge here and a great, friendly community to be a part of.

GL with the sale of your very neat B6 and hope to see you in a VW soon.

Both Mk4 and MK5 r32's are awesome machines. Comes down to your preference at the end of the day.

Btw: love to see more pic of the b6.

    Cheers,

Hey mate cheers. I try and keep the car as neat as possible. Id like to put it up in the for sale section on these forums but there is that 90 days or 10 posts thing. I think i am leaning towards the mk4 atm. I have driven a fair few of each and i love the interior of the mk5, but the mk4 just has alot more feedback and feels a bit more raw and the fact that there is like 180 left in oz is more appealing.....You selling yours sometime soon?

Very clean and tastefully modded ride.

I would go a mkIV purely becasue they standout as opposed to the mkv model.

Also the exclusivity that comes with owning 1 of the 200 imported is a big bonus.

Yea i think the mk4 is the way im heading currently, unless the price of the mk5 drops dramatically when the mk6R comes out. Now just need to sell mine....Does $26,500 sound too much for this. Has alot of extras and goodies attached to it

Have a look on carsales etc and see what other cars similar to yours are going for.

You have to remember that most people won't pay extra for mods/options that you put on the car becasue they may not want/need them or expect them to be included for free since you already payed for them so they shouldn't have to.

Best of luck, the mk4 .:R is an awesome machine.

Yea ive had a look around and the going rate for a clean standard 1.8TQ seems to be about 25g, so im in the ballpark here and i know it is one of the cleanest going around, without tacky mods on it. Ill chuck it on carsales in a couple of days i think.

Quick question, what seems to be the going rate for a full exhaust system on a mk4 r32, for example a milltek?
