NSW R32 GT-R owner seeks VW Golf for love

Hey all,

I'm a huge Japanese car lover but my fiance is a Golf nut (she owns a MKV R32 Golf). She's recently started her own Golf forum and spends all her time nurturing that instead of me!

I've been on carsales every single day hunting down just the right Golf for myself (too many choices!). I won't be selling my Skylines (I have 2 of them, the GT-R and also a V35 350GT automatic daily) and not selling the V35 makes it tough to even consider a 3rd car (and as a couple we'd then have 4 cars). But I'm into it. I've done nothing but check out VW photos and forums day in and out for the past 2 weeks (I'm going nuts).

I've seen the VWWatercooled sticker around and I've read all the forum rules and really like the vibe of them.

Looks like you got bitten by the Dub Bug hehe.

Looking at the cars you have been through, seems to me you like the classic stance models.

As you may already know I am also a r32 GTR fan and had one prior to my .:R and also love the JDM scene as well.

What VW's model you have in mind?

If I had the cash I'd go a MKVI GTI but I can't justify that right now. I'd have to sell the V35 Skyline (tempting).

Semi-tempted to go a MKIV GTI but would much prefer a MKV GTI. The hunt continues (heaps of great threads in this room. I'm learning lots already and it's only been half an hour!).

Sell the V35 and get a Mk5 Pirelli.
That would be my choice.

Welcome aboard Justin !! You sound just like me two years ago. Was a proud owner of a 94 V Spec II, and boy do i feel like an idiot now selling it considering they have appreciated so much in value !! So dont sell the gtr !! But perhaps consider selling the v35 lol

Cheers for the welcome! I only just bought the V35 so I'm a bit bummed about the timing. Wheels are on order too which makes me even more hesitant to sell it right now. It's tempting though!
