hey guys
my name is caleb. i have been modifying cars in some shape or form since i got my first car.
at the moment i have a rb20det r31 skyline.
and as of today i bought a 1981 vw mk1 golf ls
i want to be a part of this forum to learn more about my golf and maybe go a cruise someday with some of you

thanks guys. yer i ahve a few plans, when the r31 sells. im going to get some coilovers and lower it, get some painted on whitewalls clean these stockies up and put some chrome wheel trims on it. venetians and chrome trim on the front grill.
also i would love to know what the difference is between the gls and the ls all the other models. im guessing the glds are diesels lol

I've been told LS is luxury sport and GLS is graaand luxury sport haha, there's a thread on here about it somewhere.

i paid $1900 for it. its towards the top end of these things apprently. in saying that im not sure what they are worth haha

yer i will get some photos tomorrow. yer the thing is a bit strange. someone sprayed it and apprently put a new motor in it. i think it may be a 1.1lt tho i cant find any engine number or chasis placard so im just getting the 1981 info off the rego papers. i would love someone who knew what they were looking at to have a good perve at it.
