Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • QLD Potential Jetta owner

    Hey guys.

Coming to you from Aspley in Brisbane...looking to get a MY08 Jetta Tsi.

Although it is for the missus, I will be having to sell my own little piece of joy in order to get it...so I too should be able to enjoy it too right?

A list of previous cars for those interested (i'm 24 now btw):

Mitsu Mirage (body kit, interior, the works - first car, what can i say)

    Audi A4

Sold that for something a bit more...elegant

    Datsun 1600 w/ sr20det

Then long story short, I was forced to sell that...

Going back to the Audi days, went to something a bit more luxurious...

    Honda Accord

Then back to the raw fun days, and my current car which I will be selling soon...

Honda Civic (b18cr Type R conversion - motor, box, brakes, suspension). Quite a bit of extensive suspension work involved also - will give details if any interest...

    So there it is.

Looking at getting this Jetta...Test drove it this morning. I like it, will just need to convince the missus now.

Get the Jetta! You won't regret it.

Some selling points for the missus..... Plenty of boots space for the future needs of any little ones, Great safety features as standard & good economy.
      It's Red, It's German & It Flys!!!!
