Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

If youre looking for a bolt on kit have a chat to C2 boys in the UK. They have software and manifolds that will bolt straight up. You will pay more than you will from the US though. But US kits arent a direct fit anyways and the US companies usually wont have software for our ECUs which are different to those in the US.

yeah i was just trying to make a point. Appologies for being so blunt.

Well the big question you need to answer first is how fast you want to go. The cheap US kits use a t3/4 as you probably know. No point re-inventing the wheel if you are happy with modest gains. (sub 300hp)

If you wanna go all out id be looking at a GT30 of some flavour. But youre gonna need to crack the motor open to do that seriously. And as you will know being a mechanic that gets expensive!

There are a few ways of doing it, most recent RHD UK based kit is from Stealth Racing, see my post on page 3 of this thread for more info and links .....
