Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Hello , I am a new comer with questions

    Dear all,

    I am a new comer here, and have some prolems with my new car and would like help from all of you.

    I boutght the new Golf 6 TSI July last year, within half year of driving, I have experinced few major problems:

    1. The front wiper worked from time to time. When it is heavy rain, it does not work properly , and when there is no rain, it jump up while I press brake , and can not be put back. After few minutes driving, it comes back by itself.

    2. The car has been stopped in the middle of the road three time since 23/12/2009 to 07/02/2010. For all three thimes, the peotrol are about half tank, and weather are hot, and fuel pump does not work.

    Are there anyone have any idea about my car?

    Take it back to the dealer sounds like an
    electrical fault

      Thanks. The car is currently with dealer, and I refused to pick the car up since I belive that it is not only the porblem with petrol pump. Since it has been broke down three times within short period , I ask them to replace the car, but they said they do not offer replacement which is illegal according Trade Practice Act 1974.

      Are there any suggestion?

        In NSW we have the Department of Fair trading. Not sure about the equivalent in Victoria but I would be going to them for advice on where you stand.

            is there moisture / water getting into the fuse box or ecu? i had similar problem but with my windows, i had water getting into the actual motors, and moisture build up in the fuse box. it was making my windows go down randomly without the key even in the ignition . then i was freaking out if there was water leaking into the ecu.
