Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW newbie here looking for some info on golf aux

    Hi All,

First time poster obviously. I've had my 2005 Golf GTi for over a year now and came across this forum as i've been trying to figure out how to utilise my aux input.

I have the sat nav system and read in other threads that you can find the aux input on the dash or in the glovebox or sometimes in the passenger side. I can't find it anywhere and i just want to connect my ipod touch to a 3.5m headphone jack.

Whats more of a bummer is untill i sort out connecting to aux, i bought an itrip - and i cant seem to figure out how to get the vw radio system to let me manually tune a random station (therefor i cant use the itrip either). It only wants to pick stations it knows is tunned? - Is that right?

I know this isnt the right thread for this question - just a little trigger happy.
