Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    G'day all,

Just signed up. Owner of a 2007 TDI Jetta. Currently weighing up the differences between upgrading v modifying.

Only looking at minor power upgrades & sound system.

Pretty hard to contemplate the option of selling when it puts a smile on my dial everytime I drive it.

is it just me or is there a shortage of tastefully modded jettas in this fine country, given its effectively a GTI softened with Lux?

I have considered a Jetta as a logical replacement for my Bora, so my vote is to keep and mod the one you've got !

        Thanks Guys,

The more I think about, the more I like the idea of doing some work on the car.

The new car warranty finishes in October this year which might be the green light to get serious.

65,000km on the clock atm & the torquey little TDI only feels like it's just run in.

Currently enquiring about a "Tunit" to suit. I'd be interested if anyone has already fitted one of these to a 103kW TDI....
