Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    NSW Newbie to VW's

    Hey I'm Beaker, I stumbled onto this forum while doing a bit of research on the GTI.

    I'm about to order my first ever VW and was looking for the info - this place looks like it has plenty to offer.

    I've also found a mate from another forum on here (Gday Flappa!)

    I've got a rallying and 4WDing background and am pretty much into anything with an engine. I currently own a reasonably kitted out Patrol and an XR6 Turbo is my daily driver (which is about to come off lease and be replaced with a GTI) and a couple of other motorsport orientated toys.

    Thats me in a nutshell.

      Yep, one big one to go see the world on holidays, one small one to drive to work during the week and play with on weekends- best of both worlds
