Newbie Jetta 125TDI Highline

New to the site, looks like plenty of info around..

just took delivery of a 2010 Jetta 125TDI DSG and looking for advice on a towbar setup, and a performance chip later on...

Hi Sammy.

Oettinger do a chip for TDI's which should boost performance to 143 kilowatts.

The towbar is a bit of a problem as the electrical issues need to be overcome and it will cost a hefty sum.

Not my first VW.... i had a 96 Mk3 VR6 Golf that i modded, parents have had a Bora 4motion and dad has a mk4 R32.

I was looking at other oilers in the price range, Mazda6 etc... but i decided on the jetta after having driven a Kluger for the last two years.

Its black too!

Congratulations Sammy, that's exactly the model I'm looking at buying at the moment.

What options did you get? and how did you go with price? did you get a good price?

Make sure you let us know how you go with your car. I'm very interested to hear. I'm currently undecided between the 147TSI and the 125TDI. Though I'm leaning more toward the 125TDI.

I paid $39,850 on road for mine. I didn't check any options as it was cheaper for me to get tints and a towbar myself.
