Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Hi there, Fantastic site. Hope we can make some dent into VW Australia pre & after sales support and service.

    Had a Karmann Ghia late 80s early 90s and loved it & VW from then.

    After a long OS trip, in 2004 bought a new Golf V TDi - a nice solid car... then just this week traded it for a...

    Tiguan 147 TSi, Panoramic sunroof, black leather, RNS 510 with Dynaudio, RVC with Park Assist, Xenon lights & 18" alloys.

    Collectively this is one MAD vehicle IN and OUT!

    Bluetooth, Side Step and Media In coming
    Media in is a certainty but many questions still re: Side Step real usability instead of look & my prior VW Bluetooth experience was too $ and terrible.
    My AU specific searches led me to here.

    Hi me again, Tiguan retiring. New red Golf R MK7 due Wed 22/10. I wanted same colour as Tiguan (so I could say "Honey I shrunk the car"). A Red R should be rare. Is true Tornado Red is not metallic paint?

      Nice, I have Tornado Red and love it. Even though it's a mk3.

      Mine isn't metallic, for what it's worth.
      Past - '95 VW Golf MK3 VR6
      Present - '11 Ford Focus LW Diesel (PSA DW10C)
