Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Greets to all you fellow VW Luv'rs & the like.

I'm a fresh newb to your distinct column of eternal knowledge, let me bath in the abundance of flowing VW'ing'ness.

    Anyway enough dribble.

I've been an avid fan of VW ever since i was 11. My mums car at the time was a MK1 GLS Diesel 1.5 pocket rocket. But i can only truly say i became a fan upon having a go in my Mates 89 Golf MK2 GTI 16v. Man what a car. At the time i lived in Zimbabwe and used to catch lifts home on weekends with this insane VW maniac from the capital to home(Some 434Km). These journeys where challenges for us. Avoiding cops and continuously trying to beat our time. The best to date was 1hr 49mins averaging 169Kph. During our speedaholic escapades were never had any breakdown issues. The handling/power of the car is something legends are made of.

    Enough of that, Projects:
1984 Golf MK2. Found lying in the mud at a wrecker which i'm currently nursing back to health.

    Daily Drive:
1998 Seat Ibiza GTi 2.0 16v. Little pocket rocket, plenty of V'room.

I look forward to you welcomeness to this Grandiose Forum.

    I bid you aduire!
