NSW New Member - Golf MkV R32 Questions

Hi All,

First post!

I live in Sydney and just bought my first car, ever. 2007 MKV R32 Blue.

Totally in love with it.

Been reading the forums for a few weeks now, thanks for all the great threads and info.

Few things I need to get sorted and was wondering if you guys could help out?

1) Warranty - Do I need to inform VW to transfer balance of existing warranty to me? Also where would I buy extended warranty?

2) Service - I was thinking of getting it serviced at Muller & Muller at Lakemba (Sydney). Anyone have any feedback about these guys?

Also looking to buy a few things for the car. Any feedback on the below?

1) CAI - Thinking GruppeM
2) Exhaust - Thinking Arqray
3) Headunit - Going with the one recommended in the monster thread
4) Swaybars - Any recommendations?

Best if you do. I believe there's a transferal of ownership card in the owners manual - fill that out and get it back to them.

Talk to your preferred VW dealership about extended warranty.

Can't comment on them personally. But you don't have to go to a dealership to retain your warranty (make sure if you get extended warranty you get extended FACTORY warranty, not extended dealer warranty - the latter ties you to the dealership, and is generally not worth a lot). There are a few non-dealership VW specialists in Sydney who may be of assistance to you.

Check ECSTuning (http://www.ecstuning.com) to see what they've got for CAIs. I'm currently running a GB (you'll find it as a sticky in the Mk4 forum) - if there's something from ECS you want, I'm happy to include it (that goes for anyone interested in grabbing something from ECS).

There are plenty of exhaust options - APR are another.

Not fussed on 3rd party head units myself in a car where they're so integrated as they are in the Golf.

Swaybars - Neuspeed or locally produced Whiteline?
