gday all,
im a mechanic based on the gold coast, many years ago i had a mk1 gti, wasn't fast, didn't handle great, barely stopped. Out of the 20 something cars i have owned, it would have to be one of the most fun cars and im thinking of getting another mk1 (if i can find a good one).
it's all hopes and dreams at the moment, the golf isn't practical (but they just keep calling my name). between my motorcycle racing, photography, and other expensive hobbies, the space to build one, the wallet, and the mrs say no (hasn't stopped me before).
im taking one step at a time, joining the VW forums is the first step.
im thinking along the lines of an engine conversion which down the track would probably be more efficient, 4AGE black top 20v pops into mind (sacrilege i know). has anyone attempted a non VW into golf conversion?
cheers
Dan
