Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    hello from Newbie

    Hi all This is my first post.. I have a o8 GTI Pirelli in black
    I also own a 65 split screen Kombi I have only ever owned VW's (32yrs) and sold my 65 bug for the Pirelli, I still cant get over the technology in this car and really enjoy driving it so much I am driving it to canberra tomorrow
    The only drawback is the front tyres (pzeros) have to be replaced very very soon and I have only done 11k they will be $480 each to replace

        No so much of a lead foot, I will blame the soft compound of the tyres 92Y

          The P Zero Neros are very soft, i've got some on my car, grippy as hell though.

          Alot of people are getting their tyres from the US recently, from www.tirerack.com the savings are huge even after shipping, and they don't take long to arrive.

            Thanks for the link... I have sent them an email... I will replace the pzero's if the price is right otherwise I will choose a different pirelli tyre.
