Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Hey everyone,

    Just got myself a 2007 Passat TDI for christmas, not bad for my first car and absolutely stoked with it.

    Just a few questions, its got the optional sat nav unit and just wondering if its normal to not have any lighting around the unit? none of my buttons glow or anything, strange considering everything else glows.

    Also its got the DSG gearbox and ive noticed that when reversing really slowly with your foot just on the accelerator, it kinda feels like its gunna stall, bit nervewracking actually. just wanted to know if these are potential issues as there is only about 1 month of warranty left.

    besides these issues im absolutely stoked with the car, and a bit addicted to that turbo booooooost.

    Hey mate, welcome.
    Post count = 2, so i'll assume you got to the passat section to ask your questions, you will get a better response there.
