Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • SA For the love of the dub.

Hi people, I've been following the forums for a while now and decided to sign up after the purchase of my 2.0 FSI.

I bought an 06 model with 30000 k's on the clock. A pretty good find, especially in Adelaide where veedubs aren't as plentiful as they are in other states. You're far more likely to be rammed up the arse by a stinking commodore than a VW over here.

It's depressing, and almost enough to make me want to move interstate.

    Catch you all soon!

Yeah, I'm so bleak about that. Especially on a black car. Oh well, I'll give it some more months, just in case (god forbid) anything else should happen and then look into getting it fixed. Not sure where a quality place would be to go in Adelaide? Any thoughts?

Glenelg Crash Repairs are the repairers Soliataire Auto use and do a good job.

We had one wheel resprayed after a roundabout incident; I think the paint quality is better than the factory wheels
