  • Hello from Perth, Western Australia...

Hi guys, i stumbled upon this forum while looking for a few parts for my vw the other day. Great to see such a active and full forum

My name is Sin, im 21 years old and i live in Perth, Western Australia and i own and drive a 2004 Mk4 Volkswagen Golf R32. Its black in colour and is completely original. I cant begin to say what a amazing car it is, im sure other R32 owners out there or members who have got a chance to drive one know what im talking about.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and hopefully contribute to many discussions from here on end and see some other WA members around soon.

    Cheers

Welcome Sin. Its great to have you on board. Yes, all r32 owners know how awesome our cars are! Tell us more about your ride? What number? Any pics? Any plans for mods?

Be sure to check out the mk4 section there is a wealth of knowledge there.

BTW- Check out the Mk 4 R32 registry see: http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/newf...ad.php?t=37111. You will be able to see all the other r owner forum members in WA. I think there are 4 others. I'll add you to the list!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys

I bought my ride about 4 months ago. When i bought it the engine was blown, and i was fortunate enough to find a very low km second hand engine in melbourne and have it transported to my workshop where i removed my old engine and fit the new one in. It took me about 2 days to do properly. But it was a very exciting job indeed.

          Ill post up pictures soon

How do i find out what number my ride is??

The car has a limited edition number on a metal plaque on the centre console, just under the gear shifter. The number is out of 200. Some cars do not have the limited edition number. Some original owners were also sent key rings with the number on it. Great to hear you saved this R with its new engine. A replacement R32 engine isn't the easiest thing to find! lol! Some pics of the engine install would be great to see.

Oh ok, ill have a look at the number when i get home from work .Im guessing then that my ride is number 88 the written off car.

              Edit: Thanks Paul

Its great to hear that #88 has been saved. I will be updating the registry. This car was previously owned by a member on here, I think he looked after it really well. He now has another R. I'm sure you will get all those problems sorted.

That's why we are planning the awesome Down South Cruise!!! (Although I know you can't make it but there will be more!)

I was thinking Lucky 88, for the fact it got ressurected... You were incredibly lucky to be able to source a replacement engine!! (And no I'm not chinese haha)

Not to nit pick but it's Volkswagen and Uberwagen (with an E) although I'm sure he will be happy it's back as well!

PS - I can't believe you got it for such a damn steal!! :O
