Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Hey guys,

    Newbie from Melbourne dropping in to say hello.

    Just picked up a Black MY08 Golf GTI DSG with basically every factory option apart from Sat Nav and so far I'm loving the car.

    One question I wanted to ask is that what boost the car runs on stock?

      Stock the car runs around 9-10PSI and depending on the gear/conditions sometimes spikes up to around 12-13 for a short moment.

      Tuned GTIs tend to spike to around 20 - 22PSI and settle around 14-15PSI.

      As mentioned though it does vary across the gears and depending on how you apply the throttle.

            Finally with the new year celebrations over, had some time to take a few pics. Also took a trip down to Daylesford, really loved the drive, so smooth!
