Hi,

I bought a 2005 Mk5 GTI in Sydney a couple of months ago. I have owned 911's & this is the best car I have ever had. Also got a very rare 1992 Ford Escort Mk5 xr3i cabriolet.

Welcome owned an escort myself back in the UK. Not an RS sadly...however glad you like the golf. Was your 911 a 964 series?

i had a 1994 993 and later a 1981 SC. former was a brilliant car which I should have held onto, and the later was why I originally bought a 993. nice motor, but no mod cons and a bit annoying for an everyday ride.
