Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hi

Hi there, names Baz i've been a VW fan for a while now. Currently i own a vy commodore which i'm trying to sell so i can hopefully get hold of a 3dr MK1 golf. When i lived in the UK for a while i had a 3dr MK4 gti with upgraded turbo/intercooler and chip. LOVED IT. i once had a 74 beetle but prefer watercooled any day of the week. I also test drove the mk6 gti the other day and couldn't keep the grin of my face, awesome piece of kit. Hope to see some of you guys out and about.

      thanks

Thanks mate, yeah i've seen a few interstate on the net but none in NSW. Did you use to work in Brookvale, cause i use to see a Rado like that around that area. If i had enough i'd buy that for sure, love the Corrado's man.

Yeah that would of had to of been mine, only 10 or so Corrados in oz, used to park it on Wattle Rd/Ada Avenue sometimes.

The 3dr Mk1's are bit harder to come by but if you're patient you'll get one, getting one from another state means getting a blue slip and paying more tax etc, its a pain but maybe worth it for the right car.
