Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hey guys,
I'm an 18 year old from Melbourne thats on the hunt for a Golf VR6.
It's real hard to find them down here im finding and would be thankful if anyone has any places they know have them in stock (dealers) or mates with one. I'm really after a black one too, So im narrowing my chances even further.

I'm on these forums to find out if it's really worth my while getting a VR6 or if i should maybe look into a CL. So many questions will be coming your way and a lot of searching and research on my part.

    Thanks guys

hey, welcome! vr6 might not be the ideal first car. it all depends how willing you are to let go of your money..! worst case is you get one that needs a few expensive parts replaced, such as the timing chains. a CL would be the cheaper option...but not as fun obviously. go for a read around the mk3 section and you will find out more.

after carsales/carpoint, this forum is probably your best chance of finding one.
