Hi everyone! I have a '97 Jetta vr6 and im trying to learn as much as i can about these cars. This is actually my second vr since my last one was stolen a few years back and its been great having another vr.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

The A3 Jetta was called the Vento in Australia,and was only sold as a 2.0 GL.
It was sold from mid 1995-early 1997,and only about 400 units were sold new.
Good luck with your VR6.

It was also called the Vento in Germany - so you'll probably find the rebadging as Vento in the US is trying to make the cars more "Euro"...Nothing to see here...Comment
