Forum only readable to users

The server is being hammered again by crawlers, we are seeing tens of thousands of "users" online. Rather than give up and take the whole thing offline, I've switched it over so users must be logged in to even read the forum. I've also removed the ads completely once you're logged in since they are now basically worthless and annoying.

It's not ideal, but it keeps things online for now until I work out a better approach.

    Hi,
    Just got started with the forum.
    Silver 09 Jetta APR 188kW upgrade just finished.
    Has anybody any thoughts re fitting Whiteline rear sway bar?
    Will the ride detoriate at the expense of handelling?
