Forum only readable to users

The server is being hammered again by crawlers, we are seeing tens of thousands of "users" online. Rather than give up and take the whole thing offline, I've switched it over so users must be logged in to even read the forum. I've also removed the ads completely once you're logged in since they are now basically worthless and annoying.

It's not ideal, but it keeps things online for now until I work out a better approach.

    I've been lurking around these forums for a while now, and I figure I'd better sign up and be a contributing member since I just purchased a Golf.

    I used to be all about jap cars, mainly nissans... but i know have a new love affair with volkswagen.

    Anyway, hello to all you volkswagen fans out there!

    I have just logged on for the first time now I am a Jetta owner.
    Just had 188kw APR upgrade.
    Does anybody have any thoughts re fitting a Whiteline rear sway bar<
