Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • New Tig owner Brisbane

    Hi all,

I am from Brisbane and took delivery of a Tig about a fortnight ago. So far so good. Thought about buying one a few months ago, but finally decided to bite the bullet. Liked it so much that I rang the dealer in the morning and took delivery in the afternoon....

    Specs:
    125 TSi
    Auto
    Leather
    Sat Nav
    Tint
    Towbar
    Comfort Pack
    Mats

I will get the ARP tune in the coming months and am very happy with the car to date.

But most importantly, my wife likes it!

Maroon in colour. Ideally wanted the bright blue but wife liked the maroon so could not argue with that.
She has given me the approval for tuning and will most likely book it in the new year when Kevvy sends me back my GST on the purchase.
I will try to get some pics tonight and post them up... but it looks like a tig in maroon.
Have started to figure out the HDD, SD and Ipod part of the sat nav and am pretty chuffed that I have moved into the tech world. Bluetooth is the only outstanding but tuning is my first priority - as I am used to Evo's and want to get a bit more hp.

All in all though, we are very happy with the purchase and look forward to taking it for a squirt up the beach.

I bought it from Ian Boetchers at Ipswich.
Car was 8 months old with 10,000kms.
Paid $37k (or 33,636 once I claim back GST)

Sorry for photos - I dont ever claim to be a photographer.... And well its only a car and looks like many other Tigs!!
