WA Soon to be Polo GTI owner

Hey guys

Been lurking for a little while but thought I would start an account as I should take home a red Polo GTI on Monday.

Thanks to this forum I have already purchased car cleaning material from Car Care Products and will get the GTI tinted at TKO. There is a lot of great info here so thanks for all the effort!

Not at the moment thought Stage 1 mod sounds good (Power!)

Unfortunately the minister of Finance is none too keen on upgrades so we will see.

Leather? Colour? Did the dealership throw you any bones and which dealer did you purchase from?

Didn't go the leather option, we were stretching the budget as it was. We got it from John Hughes VW, Richard to be precise. My wifes mum has bought 2 Golf's from him previously and he also found the 96 Charade 5years ago, which we are trading in for the Pog.

As stated before we went the red as we both liked the look of it.

I'd rather not say how much but I thinks it's a good deal, only $1500 more than a 15 month old Pog that was at Southside Mitsubishi (and the a/c didn't work!)

My son lives in Maylands, I'll have to tell him if he sees a red rocket coming up behind him - pull over quick! That's a mighty fine looking car you've got there, Crusty, it's really well-proportioned and definitely looks the business in red.

Loving it, infinitely better than the charade.

Will be going along to DOVW (DOTVW ?) to see whats out there and maybe get some ideas for mods.
