Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Hi all......

    New member, saying hi.

    Don't have a VW yet but I am keenly awaiting the arrival of the Jetta VI due sometime this month. I am familiar however with VW as my brother has a 2006 Jetta V TFSi....

    Hey buddy, welcome to the forum. If only that was real!! IIRC the Jetta coming out this month is simply an interior facelift..

      Bummer, I was atleast expecting the Jetta would receive the same exterior updates just as the Golf 6...

        I know it sucks, but surely the Jetta 6 will have some styling cues from the Golf. We might not see it until next year or early 2011.


        It's strange that there have been no spy-pics or anything of the Jetta 5.5 (I'm guessing that's what they'll call it) given it's supposed to be released this month.

          Jetta 5.5...Yep, probably what they are referring to it internally.

          I fired off an email to VW Aus earlier today regarding the facelift Jetta so we will see what comes of that....

                Go to www.vwvortex.com,
                and go to the MK6 Golf/Jetta section.
                I have just seen renderings of the 2011 Jetta 6.
                Looks very much like a Jetta 5,with a Golf 6 front,and Audi A4 tail lights...

                Back looks fantastic,not so sure about the front though...
