Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hello from Scotland

    Hello everyone,

Decided to join this forum over some of the homegrown ones in the UK as you guys seem to have a better range of topics.

I have just ordered a new vRS Tdi hatchback(i believe you call it a liftback-much cooler) in black metallic with a few optional extras on it. Due in 7 weeks.

Just wondered if there is anyone out there who has seen one or better still has pictures of one in this colour?

The dealer only had a blue combi to test.

    Any help would be superb.

    welcome matey

hate to burst your bubble, but we dont call hatchbacks liftbacks!!

I'm assuming you got the Octavia? Love them, such a nice car for little outlay. Bargains of the century!

    enjoy

Sorry, my mistake. Do you not call them something different to UK though.
      Prefer your descriptions-combi etc.

Yeah, ordered the new faclifted Octavia.
The equivelant golf with same engine etc was over £6000 more-no brainer.
Golf GTD is great car though-the 170bhp CR engine isa stonker though
