TAS mk1 owner

Hey all

My Name is Jono i recently was given a mk1 golf gls, I love it and enjoy driving it more than my much newer more comfortable car.

I'm currently trying to convince the wife to let me keep it but its a bit of a up hill battle haha!!.
It would be great to fix 'toby' (golf) up abit he is looking a bit sad in a few areas.

umm more info well i have no idea how many kms its done cause the odo. is stuck on 199999 the interior is looking a bit sad in places and as most mk1 doesn't like rain!! which living in hobart sucks. Its bright orange so you can see and hear me coming will try and get some photos up.

it did live in sandy bay for a while and kinda has a black stripe.

I have from memory a door handle if you want one. Not the car I was thinking of, but a good example.

What else you need to do. And nice to see the Andrew Robinson sticker - he will help you out.

mikinoz: i think the door handle is floating around underneath the drivers seat.

i have a list of stuff i would love to do to him:
re spray him
new interior
wheels
wouldn't mind putting in a 2L

how ever don't have the cash or the know how and the wife doesn't like the idea of keeping it, but hopefully i can convince her otherwise.
