Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hello Everybody

Hi ,My name is Paul and I live in Werribee Victoria.
Picked up the Tiguan last Friday so only 450 k`s on the clock so far.
Got the White 147 TSI with sunroof . Still coming to terms with all the knobs and functions . Came from an XT Forester and must say how surprised I am at how much quieter ,smoother and better handling the Tiguan is . Great car.

    Awesome work on the tig.

I am looking at a Candy white 125 later on.

What options did you go for and what plans do you have for her?

        Thanks for your responses

As the dealer had the car sitting on the show room floor I took it as is. The only option that was fitted is the sunroof. If I wanted to order I had to wait possibly into the new year. I wanted the car ASAP . As it turned out I was driving the car within one week of saying YES.

Not sure if I will change much but I have to say I`m having a look at either fitting the dynaudio speaker upgrade if possible or aftermarket speakers and amp + subwoofer. Mind you the standard unit is good enough.

TEAM V .You will love the 125 when you get one. I would certainly say to have a close look at the differences between the 125/147 if you haven`t done so . Apart from the extra KW, the sportier seats ,chrome trim ,bigger wheels , RCD 510 stereo , dual zone climatrol A/C and optical parking system made it worth while .

I can't wait to get to order/pick up mine.

I am leaning more towards the 125 as I want a manual and the chip will take care of the extra kw difference.
I don't really want/need any of the extra's on the 147 so i don't see it as an option for the extra $$$

Some pics of your beast would be great
