  • Electrical problem 2003 VW Golf

Hi there I am a newcomer to this site and would like to say hi to all.
I have recently purchased a 2003 Golf Sport 2.0 manual, nice car.
Most of today was spent doing service work and installing a new JVC CD/Radio head unit.
All is working but I have done something wrong as I did blow a couple of fuses and now the auxiliary +12 volt does not switch off with the ignition switch.
Has anybody had a similar problem? Or better still has anybody got a circuit diagram maintenance manual for the 2004 Golf . Thanks

Something must be keeping the power to the 12V Aux mate, blowing fuses will open the circuit, recheck the radio wiring, do you mean your radio stays on with the ign key off????? the ign switch might be ok , only the memory and power wire may be wrong way round, common as. If your radio has a Yellow wire and a red the trap we all fall into is wiring the red to permenant live, it really should be the yellow
    Good luck
