Hi, new to VW. No, just remembered I had a Type 2 many many years ago. That was after my g/f totalled my car, a v6 Capri, back then.
This time she's now my wife and totalled her own car, a Calibra Turbo 4x4. Not her fault but the car behind that didn't notice the traffic had stopped. So after a lapse of about 30 years we bought another VW. Got to be a few messages there?
The day after the crash she was asking what we could get. I had already checked out a few Bora v6s without telling her, so suggested she might like to see one. She loved it, drove a couple more and told me to fetch her a blue one with black interior. Done.
Anyway great car and she feels safe in it especially with this weekend's wet weather and its awd capabilities. Very similar performance to the Calibra except it's got a lot more grunt off idle.
One query though. I can't seem to access some of the topics on this forum,eg members for sale stuff. Is there a secret?
