Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

At highschool all the kids rave about Lamborghinis, Ferraris and the like, but I have a simpler taste.
Me and my dad are passionate about Kombis. We do all he things we can do ourselves such as... bumper sticker placement and replacing the gear knob
We have a friend who does the major stuff but we come along and scrape grime of the spindles, which is a very skilled process.
I also am a fan of the euro style scene (which incorporates getting a Golf slamming it and getting poop-loads of poke from stretched tyres... which also have massive negative camber).
    I wish to own a MK1, MK2 GTI or a MK3 VR6.
I would like to learn more about the watercooled world and couldn't find a Aussie site so i found one and YIPPEE!

    thanks,
    DubBoy

hey thanks for the offer but our split at the moment is in no driving condition! She is in a friends shed with half her parts (which were rust) removed and refitted with replacement panels. The narrowed front beam is being fitted right know and we are thinking of getting dropped spindles for nice lows
