WA Just signed up for a Golf VI GTI

I'm excited, people.... I've just signed my hard earned away and facing an excruciating wait until the GTI arrives in WA. I was a little anxious about signing up to drive a car I haven't driven, but I did test the GTI V about 18 months ago and just about unloaded in my pants. The multitude of reviews stating the VI being even better were enough to make me put my John Hancock on the dotted line. I signed it, too..

Then the salesman told me I was 7th in line for delivery. Grrrrr. So basically I've kept my options pretty flexible so I at least get the car this year - I really don't want to wait any longer than I have to. My wishlist is:

Candy White
5 door
DSG
Sat Nav
Rear Camera
18" Wheels

I'm flexible on a couple of those items, and I'd probably take other options if I really HAD to. Either way, gimme gimme gimme!

I'm currently driving a Ford Ranger cab chassis and lets just say the handling isn't quite up to scratch.

Welcome aboard. I know, the anticipation is too much sometimes.... but as the old saying goes "good things come to the ones who wait". Just adopt this attitude, true or not, and you should feel better..... Have fun with your new GTI and remember to post some pics when you finally get your hot little hands on that beast!

Sounds like an awesome purchase mate...was wondering how much did the dealer quote for the gti? I'm thinking of getting one myself but still undecided between the 118tsi or GTI

The dealer used the Mark V pricing in the contract, but he said the buzz was that the new model would be slightly cheaper! I was going to get one either way, but that would be a nice surprise.
