Hi All,
Bout time I got around to posting instead of lurking...
My VW experience is limited to getting lifts to school in my grandads beetle in the early 80's, and in 2006 I bought a new VW Jetta TDi Manual...
I have got to say it has been the most reliable, fuel economical vehicle I have ever owned, and aside from topping up the oil in the first 3-6mths, It has been a dream to own and has kept my Mrs very pleased on the distance and time between trips to the servo... As a salary sacrifice prospect it is excellent, the only dillemma is the funds set aside for fuel never seem to get spent.... (tough life I have
).
We average about 25000km a year and with the size of the boot, going on a driving holiday and packing for 4 is not a problem.
It is certainly not going to be the last VW I ever own, the only question now is how long to keep it, and do I trade up to a Passat or go Jetta again!!! (Would love a V10 Touareg but the funds wont stretch that far!!).
Cheers,
Johnsy
