Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • R36 Wagon (Wagen???)

After testing the 335i, A4 3.0TDI and Q5, came back to the most viable, value for money vehicle for my expanding family - not to mention, above all others I prefer its interior (even over the Audi) and the back seat room us unparalleled.

Took my boss for a test drive of an R36 in BNE and his only comment was that he could not see where the extra $80,000 went for his RS4... Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that I would knock back an RS4 Avante, but if I spent the extra 80 grand, dont think I would have much need for a family car...

So, I have had an R36 on order for about a month now, and should have it late October 09. Am itching to get it... just need to get some finance organised and await the delivery.

After reading many of the comments in this forum, I am looking forward to joining the ranks, even if I did get the cliche colour but in my area there are 2 Black R36 wagons, a white one and Silver sedan... The cliche is not so common here.

    Cheers,

    Greg
