  • NSW MK6 GTi Photo's in Sydney

Was at VW Barloworld in Mascot this week and saw this.. thought you might be interested in seeing them as they're already registered and on the road..

The guys at Barloworld seem great to me, bought my Mk5 GTi Golf from Chatswood Classic and they kept stuffing me around putting the delivery back and just getting things wrong so we'll see how these guys go.

Might want to re-size those bad boys.

My monitor just shat itself trying to show that resolution.

The new Mk6 is a definite imporvement in my eyes, the thinner tailights really make the back look better.
Still undecided on the 1 piece lower grill area though.

Awesome, much easier to see now.

I don't really get the front lower lip/splitter.
There is no gap for air to flow above it (as with the edition 30/pirelli version) so it kinda seems pointless.
        Unless it is adjustable.

I was expecting something more like this:

Great to see some real photos, I'm not a fan overall.

I like the grill and pin stripe, Not a fan of the rear lights, lower grill or same wheels as MkV (could have done something new there).

I'm sure they will sell well.

It really is the same old story when a new golf gti comes out, and then after a little getting used to, everyone adores them! it was the same for the mk 3, 4, 5 and now the 6!

I can't believe they kept the same wheels!!! Those wheels look really small on those GTI's and actually look like old wheels.

x2.. I'm so bummed that they kept that design. IIRC the photos of the GTI had much sharper, flatter rims (although generally the same design).

Wonder what the bi-xenons will look like for the Mk5, I predict them to be ugly..

yeah might thoughts as well! they are nicely designed cars but why on earth did we get those wheels as standard again!! wouldnt stop me buying the car obviously but id be changing the wheels for sure. They came out in 2004 on the MkV and are REALLY looking dated.
